Oil Trough is a town in Independence County, Arkansas, United States. Odell Pollard, a retired attorney from Searcy and the Arkansas Republican Party chairman from 1966–1970, graduated from Oil Trough High School. ==Geography== Oil Trough is located at 35°37'46" North, 91°27'41" West (35.629572, -91.461366). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²), all land.
